Huawei Nova 7i: Unboxing and First Look

We will be sharing with you complete Huawei Nova 7i unboxing experience as well as our first look in this article. Huawei has just released the Nova 7i for markets such as Pakistan. Continuing the Nova name, the latest 7i phone places itself right within the mid-range Android phone market space. Also known as Huawei P40 Lite in some markets, the phone promises good looks and hardware. Without Google Play Services on board, it comes with Huawei’s AppGallery as an alternative and runs Android 10 based EMUI 10.0.1.

Nova from Huawei has been quite popular over the years. A step down from P and Mate series, this lineup has provided Huawei enthusiasts with multiple, value-focused phones. The new Nova 7 lineup consists of standard Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro, Nova 7 SE and Nova 7i. For the “i” variant, it is the most value focused phone of the bunch. Now, let’s take a look at what comes within the Nova 7i’s box and also, discuss our first impressions.

Huawei Nova 7i Unboxing Experience

Starting with packaging itself, Nova 7i comes packed in a traditional Huawei box. It carries the name upfront, on the sides and specs & other details on the bottom. Ripping the protective plastic off, we got our warranty card outside of the box — this may differ for other regions. Anyhow, proceeding to open the top half, the first thing to greet us is the phone itself. It is protected by a plastic cover. Taking it out, the glossy finish immediately becomes apparent. Further, our unit is painted in Crush Green color which looks stunning.

More, the camera bump is the most eye-catch design feature. The 4 camera array is aligned within a square. This new design trend of using a square bump is something we love. Further, the phone has a punch-hole / hole-cut front display to house the front camera. One more thing we noticed is the fingerprint position, it has been moved underneath the power button on the left.

Moving towards the rest of the box, after the phone, we get this big envelope. Contained inside it, there is a SIM eject tool, quick start guide and a TPU protective cover. After this, there are a standard set of accessories, including Huawei fast charger, basic earphones with microphone and also, USB type-C to type-A cable. If you are wondering that whether the phone comes with a screen protector? It is pre-applied on the phone which is a big plus since aligning protectors on hole-punch displays is very difficult by hand.
