Samsung Galaxy Note 9 gets Official Android 10 One UI 2.0 Stable Update

Samsung has ended Android 10 Beta program for Galaxy Note 9 and has finally started to push stable Android 10 One UI 2.0 builds to all Beta testers. If you were not enrolled in the Beta community, don’t worry as a global release is expected within the next few weeks if not days. For the Note 9, this would be its second major Android version upgrade. It originally launched with Android Oreo then got updated to 9.0 Pie and now finally, Android 10.

For Galaxy Note 9 owners, the new update brings with itself loads of changes, features and improvements. Starting with the UI, Samsung has refined One UI, hence the name One UI 2.0. Further, there are new feature additions coming from Android itself that have been added by Google. All in all, it is a welcome upgrade and we hope to see a more wider, global roll out quite soon.

Taking a look at what would be new compared to older Android Pie firmware, latest Android 10 will bring full-screen gestures. Whilst Samsung had its implementation of navigation gestures, new firmware will carry Google’s approach as well. Further, as we mentioned already, the design aspect of the UI will be refined and more fine tuned.

Performance and battery life should see an improvement as well thanks to more optimized code and newer algorithms to maximize efficiency. And lastly, while all system apps have been improved in one way or the other, the camera app and UI has been revamped as well making for easier access and advanced functionality — slow-motion selfies and an improved Pro Mode.
