If you are looking for black backgrounds throughout the system interface and overall, a dark color scheme, here is how you can turn on built-in dark mode on Vivo V17. Running FuntouchOS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie, Vivo has integrated a stock dark mode theme within the OS. By default it is disabled but here is how you can enable it. In our testing, this dark mode setting effects other apps as well (that support it) such as Play Store, Instagram and more.
Rather than requiring a system modification such as root, we are glad that Vivo not only supported dark mode within the official OS but it also did it before Android 10 upgrade. The process isn’t lengthy or difficult, but as the setting is hidden under different menus, some users might not find it on their own. Regardless, here is a complete guide explaining how to turn on dark mode on Vivo V17. We have attached screenshots as well for even easier referencing.
Turn on Dark Mode on Vivo V17 – FuntouchOS
Here are all the steps required for enabling dark mode on Vivo V17. You can use these same tips for disabling dark mode as well.
You might also want to read:
Step 1 – Open up Settings app.
Step 2 – Tap on Display and Brightness.
Step 3 – From here, tap on Dark Mode.
Step 4 – You can either choose to have Dark Mode always on or have it turn on during a scheduled time-period.
Step 5 (Bonus) – If you swipe up from the bottom left, you will find the Dark Mode toggle there as well.
That’s all to it! You can now enjoy darker backgrounds that are easier on the eyes and look great as well. Again, as we mentioned, non-system apps such as Instagram are also effected by this setting.
