Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Unboxing Experience

Redmi Note 8 comes packed in a traditional box. Unlike previous packaging of Xiaomi phones, there is a complete render of Redmi Note 8 printed on top of the box. As our unit arrived in Moonlight White color, the box also depicts the correct color scheme. Further, on the back half, there are key details about Redmi Note 8 including key specs. Taking apart the top part of the box, we are greeted with a white envelope. Within it, there is a standard SIM Ejection tool, paper work and also a clear transparent case.

Right after the envelope, lies Redmi Note 8 itself. Wrapped in protective plastic, there are further plastic stickers on the phone itself that highlight tech specs and prevent the display from being scratched during shipping. On the back of the device, there is a large sticker explaining the SIM card tray and how it can be used to insert 2 SIMs along with a microSD data card.

Before we start exploring the device, there are further accessories included within the box. 18W USB power adapter is provided along with a USB Type-C to Type-A cable. Unfortunately, no headphones. Also, to mention, our unit did not have a screen protector applied on the phone which is the standard these days with budget and other mid-range devices.

Tracing back to the device, holding Redmi Note 8 in the hand, it feels quite premium and solid. The glass back has been a great design choice at this price-point as it gives users a sense of luxury once they hold the phone. Also, our Moonlight White color is amazing to look at with its subtle blue/purple gradient. Lastly, there is a gloss surround to the whole phone and it is curved outwards for better grip.
