How to Enable 3 Button Navigation on Android 10

Running Android 10 on your phone and trying to enable classic 3 button navigation? Here are all the steps on how to do just that! With new Android 10 release, Google has introduced a more refined version of its gesture navigation system that is enabled from stock. While the new revision is definitely a step up from the last one, users might still be looking to get the classic button navigation back. For that, just follow the ahead mentioned steps. Fortunately, no app install or modification is required to enable 3 button navigation on Android 10.

Android 10 brings numerous changes and new features — all of which were expected as it is an annual release after all. On top of faster updates, better performance, improved UI, this new Android revision improves on the gesture navigation system which was originally introduced with Android Pie. New gestures are much more fluent and easy to execute but still, for some customers, there is no replacement for the good old 3 button navigation. Gladly, that is still available and here is how to enable it.

While gesture navigation has its own learning curve, if you are used to the old button navigation layout, you can stick to that via implementing this simple procedure:

Step 1 – Open up Settings.

Step 2 – Scroll down till you see System and then tap on it.

Step 3 – From this menu, you would be able to see Gestures option, select it!

Step 4 – You should now see various gesture options available and there also should be an option for System Navigation. Select that.

Step 5 – This menu will now let you choose which sort of system navigation you want to run. By default, it will be set to Gesture Navigation. Select the one you would like to run.
