Samsung is now rolling out Android Pie for Galaxy Tab Active 2. Currently, this update is available in Italy and for the LTE model (SM-T395). The software version for this specific update is T395XXU4CSF1. Soon, it is expected to make its way to the Wi-Fi model (SM-T390) and other regions as well. The rugged Samsung tablet is also getting an updated interface with new One UI included within the update.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 launched originally in October 2017 with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) as a powerful and feature equipped tablet. Further, this Android Pie update will be its second major software upgrade. Also packed within the new build is June 2019 security patch. Highlight changes include new gesture navigation, adaptive battery and more.

The most notable feature within this release is Samsung’s One UI. Replacing Samsung Experience, this is the brand’s new software skin which is focused towards larger screens. Further, after installation, users can expect to see performance improvements all round, better responsiveness and various new functions which weren’t there originally.
As mentioned earlier, the update is currently available to Galaxy Tab Active 2 LTE model and is limited to Italy only. Being an OTA update, it will arrive through a notification which bundles everything and is ready to be installed. The update is also packed with the latest security patch which defends against cyber attacks and tons of new features within the update.
As mentioned above, this update is currently being pushed in Italy. Using the built-in OTA(Over-the-air) update system, users can directly download and install the new firmware once the notification pops up. And if the notification hasn’t arrived, navigate to Settings and tap Software Update to check for the update manually.
