Huawei Mate 20 Pro is now receiving the April 2019 security patch today through an OTA update. This update doesn’t bring any new features, just the Google security patch for April. Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro were announced on November 16, 2018, and pre-orders started on October 16, 2018. Huawei Mate 20 series was in news because of its performance and camera until the current flagship Huawei P30 series arrived with its 50x zoom camera.
We already know Huawei is working on bringing their latest EMUI 9.1 update to a number of Huawei and Honor phones (49 devices to be exact). And the new EMUI 9.1 for Mate 20 Pro is already available as a stable update in China. As the April security patch is rolling out globally, it may take some time to reach everyone.
