Users can turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi from Google Search on Android devices through this guide. Google had introduced Android Slices at I/O 2018. Just after the announcement the company started testing the newly developed UI in collaboration with third-party apps. Google Slices keep track of all the key features and try to make them more accessible by adding them to their natural places. In a recent update, Google has rolled out few key system settings such as WiFi and Bluetooth within Google search.
With slices, users can easily and quickly enable or disable settings without going into the settings menu. In short, Pixel models that are running on Android 9 Pie are now allowing users to turn on certain settings by typing its name in Google search bar. For instance, if you go to Google search and type Bluetooth, your search history will show you some settings icon with Bluetooth toggle switch. This feature is not just available for Bluetooth but also for Wi-Fi as well. For Wi-Fi, there is a setting icon too that let you toggle switch in order to enable Wi-Fi.
Before this update, there was a setting icon but that did not show toggle switch. This time-saving feature will work with devices that are running on Android builds as old as 4.4 KitKat, but currently it is only available for Android 9 Pie and only on Pixel devices.
