Samsung has just recently launched the new Galaxy A8s with a new Infinity-O display. The new display technology removes the need of a notch and rather goes for a circular cutout on one corner of the screen to place the camera. This is an industry first and we are curious to see how users respond to it. Further, as for hardware, the Samsung Galaxy A8s is a Dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone. Connectivity options include standard Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C, Active 4G on both SIM cards, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
Discussing more about the hardware, Samsung Galaxy A8s has a 6.4-inch display. It comes with a full-HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. As for the processor, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC present on board. Moreover, the phone comes in two memory variants. People can get either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Furthermore, the internal storage is 128GB. Users can also expand the memory up to 512 GB by using a microSD card. The only downside is, the phone comes with Android Oreo instead of Android Pie.
For photography lovers, the phone comes with triple cameras at back, including 24-megapixel, 5-megapixel, and 10-megapixel. You will find a 24-megapixel in a display hole and the size of the hole is 6.7mm. As for the front-facing camera, it has 24MP with f/2.0 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy A8s measures 159.11×74.88×7.38mm. The phone carries a 3,400 mAh battery with adaptive fast charging support over USB-C and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s UI on top.
