Download Google Pixel / Nexus November 2018 Security Update Factory Images

New factory images carrying November 2018 security patch has been released and you can download them with this guide for Pixel and Nexus devices. Continuing its commitment towards a more secure Android experience, Google has released new and update security definitions for this month — November 2018. For Pixel 3 users, this is the first software security update they will be receiving. The major change revolves around the new security changes but it is often seen that bug-fixes and other improvements are also patched in these builds. Users can use our guide ahead to manually download Pixel / Nexus November 2018 factory images.

Unfortunately, it seems, this is the last update we will see for Nexus 5X and 6P — the last Nexus name bearers — as Google is obliged to only release software updates for 2 years after the release of a phone. Nonetheless, if that is the case users can resort to custom ROMs to enjoy newer versions. Speaking of custom ROMs, if you are running one or other system mods, the only way to update your smartphone is by downloading the complete factory image from ahead and flashing it on your device. We have official links for downloading Pixel and Nexus 2018 security images.

Google Pixel  /  Nexus Security Bulletin – November 2018

List of devices compatible with new November 2018 security patch are: Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 2, Pixel XL, Pixel, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, and Nexus 5X.

Prior to making these images available for manual download, Google starts pushing them directly through their update servers to compatible devices. We did see Check for Update functionality, which is built-in to the Android system, being fixed in the previous build so hopefully, it wont be causing any problems this time around. To check for an available update, go to Settings > System > System update > Check for update.
