However, some exceptions are there where OEM have restricted third-party apps to take control of the LED and in that case, root access would be required for LED customization.

Use the guide below to customize the LED light of your Android phone running Android 6.0 or higher.

Step 1 – Download the Light Flow from the Google Play Store. It is a free application with which you will customize LED.

Step 2 – Once the app is installed on your Android phone, open it form the app drawer.

Step 3 – Grant app the permission to access the Notification of your phone. You can skip the introduction screen.

Step 4 – On the next screen you will find the options for changing the Sound, Vibration pattern and LED colour for different apps.

Step 5 – To change the way your LED notification light behaves for a particular app, tap on Settings, and under the Lights section,  enable or disable the LED light, change color, duration, and the flash rate.
