The installation process mainly revolves around flashing Sound Alive through TWRP on Galaxy S8. Sound Alive is available as default on Galaxy S9 but has to be installed on older Galaxy S8.
Install Dolby Atmos from the Galaxy S9 on Galaxy S8
With this step-by-step guide, it will be easy for you to understand the whole procedure. Follow the steps carefully to install the Dolby Atmos on your Samsung Galaxy S8 and make sure you have check all the requirements.
- Galaxy S8 should be running TWRP custom recovery.
- Device needs to be rooted if running a custom ROM.
Step 1 – Download the following files.
- SoundAlive_8.0.21.zip — Works with both Headphones and Speakers
- SoundAlive_8.0.63.zip — Works only with Headphones
Step 2 – If you are running a custom ROM that came with Sound Alive, you still need to change it to the version listed ahead. To do that, download System App Remover root from Google Play Store and uninstall Sound Alive.
Step 3 – Copy both ZIP files you downloaded in Step 1 to your smartphone.

Step 5 – Within TWRP, use the Install option flash both files. Just as a precaution, first install Sound Alive file and then Dolby Installer.
Step 6 – Reboot your device.
