Here is how can switch to and enable dark mode on Huawei P20 Pro. The newest EMUI 8.1 running flagship now supports a special mode referred to as Dark Mode. For users who find white backgrounds quite unappealing on stock apps and UI, here is how to shift them to black. Surprisingly, not many owners have tested out this mode as the procedure for enabling it is a little off track and is placed in an unusual section. Regardless, with the steps and detailed screenshots ahead, Huawei P20 Pro users would be able to switch to Dark Mode.
With Dark Mode, Huawei wasn’t actually targeting users with a new design mode but rather it sees this color scheme as a battery saving option — not that you need any on the massive 4,000mAh capacity P20 Pro. Tucked away in the battery section is a simple slider which will turn all your interface options on the P20 Pro with black and blue color scheme contrary to the white and blue which it normally is. Keep reading to find out how exactly you can enable dark interface colors on Huawei P20 Pro.
This is something Android users have been asking Google to include since a very long time. Last year before Android Oreo came out, it was speculated that Google will be finally adding a “dark mode” option into the OS, but it never really happened. For people like me, this is going to be a delight to use. Other than saving battery life, a system-wide dark UI just looks cool and ‘dope’. It is highly appreciated of Google to include a launcher-wide option of a dark UI when you have a dark coloured wallpaper on your phone.
