After following these instructions, you should have successfully removed the Notch on your Huawei or Asus smartphone.
Step 1 – Go to Settings app. You can do this by accessing the shortcut on your home screen or by using the gear button located on the notification pull down.
Step 3 – Once in the Settings options, go to the Display section.
Step 4 – From this section, you need to tap on Notch Display.
Step 5 – From the resulting options, you can choose Show the notch area – which enables the notch – but with Hide the notch area option your phone will add a black bar to fill out the empty space on the display hence creating a fake bezel which is more pleasing to see.
Hopefully, by now, your OnePlus 6 should have a hidden notch. The notification symbols will still be displayed normally — at opposite sides of the notch but overall, the notch should remain hidden.
