Search for:

Step 11 – If you haven’t closed ODIN yet, click on reset or close the current instance and open a new one.

Step 12 – Select the proper files in the proper columns.

  • AP section will need the AP file from the extraction.
  • BL section will need the BL file from the extraction.
  • CP section will need the CP file from the extraction.
  • CSC section will need the CSC file for your phone which you downloaded in Step 1.

Step 13 – Go to options and make sure only Auto Reboot and F. Reset have been selected. You shouldn’t have NAND ERASE ALL selected.

Step 14 – Press Start. This time, when the process finishes, you should have PASS showing up in Odin

Step 15 – Your phone should go to system now. If it shows anything else, please start over.

Step 16 – Once you are in the normal system, open SuperSU app and update the binary.

Step 17 – A popup in the app would show up saying disable KNOX, follow the onscreen instructions. Once its done, it will ask to reboot and will reboot couple of times.

That’s it. Your Galaxy Note 8 has now been rooted on Android 7.1 Nougat with SamFAIL. Check for the SuperSU app in your apps list to verify.
