How to Root Galaxy S8 Plus G955F with CF-Auto-Root on Android 7.0 Nougat
We have put together a detailed step-by-step instructions guide on how to root Galaxy S8 Plus G955F with CF-Auto-Root. Please read every line carefully below. We suggest that you should read the tutorial once before actually performing it on your phone.
- This root method tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F. Please do not try on any other Galaxy S8 Plus LTE variants.
- Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding as a precaution.
- Your Galaxy S8 Plus should be on an official firmware by Samsung, not a custom ROM.
- Your phone should be on XXU1AQG5 Android 7.0 firmware.

Complete Step-By-Step Instructions:
Step 1 – Download CF-Auto-Root-dream2lte-dream2ltexx-smg955f.zip for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus to your computer and extract the zip file. Download the appropriate file from the links below, depending on your phone model number:
NOTE: Using this root increases your flash counter. You should run Triangle Away after rooting to reset the counter. Note that if you want to run custom kernels or custom recoveries, your flash counter will be set to 1 at every boot. Either configure Triangle Away to reset the counter at every boot or only reset the counter when you need to go into warranty.
Step 2 – Download Odin which will help you to root Android 7.0 on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.
