How to Take Screenshots on LG G5

LG recently unveiled its newest G series flagship smartphone, the new G5. LG’s approach with this year’s smartphone is modularity. Not only has LG introduced a removable module but along with that it has announced first party modular accessories known as friends. In this post, however, we will look at something much simpler than replacing modules which is taking a screenshot. The G5 boasts LG’s latest and greatest Marshmallow build with its own skin on top. This skin also helps in making the phone more easier to use and navigate. The simple button method is available to use but you can also try gestures to take a screenshot. In this guide we will show you how easy it is to take a screenshot on your device.

With LG’s skin on top of Android,  you would notice key differences between what LG runs and what Android originally offers through AOSP. LG hopes these differences make Android itself better and let’s the user handle the phone with greater ease. The standard or what we refer to as “Universal” method of taking a screenshot on Android phones is compatible with LG G5. However, unlike Samsung, LG doesn’t pack numerous alternatives other than this. Let’s look at what options we have for taking a screenshot on the LG G5.

1. How To Take Screenshot Using Hardware Buttons:

This one is one of the fastest and most convenient ways to take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Just follow these quick steps to take one right now:

Step 1 – Open the application/screen which you want to take a screenshot of.

Step 2 – Now press and hold the Power and Home buttons together.

NOTE: The hardware buttons are placed on the back, you just have to find the right position for your finger through which you can press both buttons simultaneously.

Step 3 – You will see a quick animation and hear a feedback sound that will show that a screenshot was just taken.

2. How to Take Screenshots with QuickMemo+:

This feature is a continuation from old-gen LG G flagships like the LG G4. Basically, this lets you avoid all the button pressing. Also if you want to capture your screen and edit or crop out a certain part, this is perfect.

Step 1 – Open the application/screen which you want to take a screenshot of.

Step 2 – Pull down your quick settings/notification drawer and click the QuickMemo+ button.

Step 3 – You will be guided to a screen where you captured screen will be displayed along with all the tools you would require to quickly edit the screenshot.

— How to Find Saved Screenshots?

If’s very easy to find them. You can go to the Gallery app and look for the Screenshots folder/album. Or manually, you can go to the Pictures > Screenshots folder in your phone memory and check all the screenshots you have taken so far.
