The new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge now carries a much more refined and enhanced Edge Screen compared to its older counterpart. Now instead of one, you get the ability to maintain dual columns of apps on your Edge Screen as well as utilize third party compatible apps. In this post, we will show you how to activate the Edge Screen as well as edit the available options to your needs.

Using the Edge panels
Drag the Edge panel handle towards the centre of the screen. Then, swipe to the left or right to switch between the different Edge panels.
If the Edge panel handle is not visible, open the Apps screen, tap Settings → Edge screen → Edge panels, and then tap the switch to activate it. Enlarge image button
Editing the Edge panels
Select panels to display on the Edge screen or edit them.
Step 1 – Drag the Edge panel handle towards the centre of the panel.
Step 2 – Tap the Gear icon to open the Edge panel settings screen.
Step 3 – Tick Edge panels to display.
- To edit a panel, tap the Pencil icon.
- To download additional panels, tap DOWNLOAD.
- To rearrange panels, tap REORDER and drag the item to another location.
Setting the Edge panel handle
You can change the location, size, or transparency of the handle.
Drag the Edge panel handle towards the centre of the screen. Then, tap Settings → Edge panel handle settings.
