HTC One A9 was launched in October. It was the first, non-nexus device to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. HTC promised that it will be updating this device to the latest Android within 15 days of its launch on Nexus devices.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow was released for the Nexus devices just yesterday and it seems like HTC is fulfilling its promise as the Taiwanese company announced that the HTC One A9 will get the update within this month.
Lots of questions on this, so quick update: M9 unlocked Marshmallow OS update and A9 6.0.1 (with updated emoji) is on target for this month.

The latest Android brings some new features to Android devices like a lot of new emojis, some changes in Do Not Disturb and navigation buttons are placed to the new area on tablets.
Not only this one, HTC has also announced that it will update the flagship HTC M9 to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow within this month. So both HTC One M9 and A9 users will be getting the latest taste of Android by the end of this year. This is to be kept in mind that the last year’s flagship, the HTC One M8, has already started to receive the marshmallow update. It is strange yet impressive that HTC is updating a one-year-old device earlier than its latest flagship.
