In wake of the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow release, Motorola has released it’s own device upgrade list. Motorola already runs a close to stock Android version on all of it’s Moto lineup so it is expected that we will see the final update rolling out pretty soon. These devices will surely receive Android 6.0 Marshamallow with all of it’s glory. We can summarize the device lineup by simply categorizing all Moto phones produced in 2014 and 2015 except the Moto E lineup. Some iconic devices that have been left out, include the original Moto G and Moto X. We can easily say these two phones pioneered Motorola’s resurrection and also paved the way for some amazing best in class phones such as the DROID Turbo. We will surely miss these devices but fortunately, there is an expectation of custom ROMs based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow coming out.

As of now, there is not a certain date announced for the final update roll out. We do expect it to start in late October or early November. Nexus 6 will be updated as soon as Google rolls out Android 6.0 Marshmallow therefore it will be the first Motorola device to sport Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
