Huawei MediaPad X2 presents itself as the most premium tablet in Huawei’s lineup. Hardware is quite top notch with a beautiful design and display. This post, however, is directed towards the owners as we show how to install correct USB drivers for the MediaPad X2. It’s quite obvious that there are many different variations in hardware manufacturers, each having their own set of drivers. Hence it is necessary you install the exact USB drivers on your computer before interacting with your device. In Huawei’s case, there is HiSuite which takes care of installation process as well as provides a software suite which you can use to sync your device. When correctly installed, your computer will correctly recognize your tablet and would present no issues of incompatibility. Our detailed tutorial lists below installation process for Huawei MediaPad X2 USB drivers both for Mac and PC.

Once done with installing the USB drivers, you can rest in the fact that every time you connect your phone your PC will realize it correctly. For the loyal users out there, they might remember the USB Mass storage functionality which basically made your phone a USB once enabled. Well, that has been replaced due to obvious security concerns. However, the new versions do support “Media device (MTP)” which allows you to add or remove files from your internal storage. MTP drivers are always included with the stock Android phone software. ADB drivers and Fastboot drivers will need to be downloaded from the Android SDK. We have an entire section full of Android USB Drivers, but we have that covered as well for you below on how to download and install the drivers.

Huawei HiSuite for Windows

Huawei has it’s own Android Device manager software called HiSuite. Once you install HiSuite, your PC will automatically configured with the latest USB drivers. HiSuite offers some extra functionality then just transfering data like you can check for updates for your phone and manage contacts.

  • Connect your Huawei MediaPad X2 with your computer.
  • Wait for HiSuite to correctly detect the model number of your phone.
  • Once it does, you can now seamlessly transfer data to and from the device.

From now on, the Huawei MediaPad X2 will automatically be recognized and will be displayed in the Explorer menu with it’s correct name. If it doesn’t, re-install HiSuite.

Like we said, the USB drivers for Huawei MediaPad X2 are always bundled with Huawei HiSuite or MTP drivers are part of the Android 4.4 KitKat / Android 5.0 Lollipop software that comes with the phone.
