As we know that Google announced Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P today. Meanwhile, HTC has also made a huge announcement. HTC has made the Butterfly 3 official.
The Butterfly 3 is company’s flagship of Butterfly series. It comes with a 5.2-inch display with 1440×2560 resolution. The RAM is 3 GB and the internal storage is 32 GB which is expandable by a Micro SD card up to 2 TB. 2 TB cards are just not available yet, but when they’ll be available, this phone will support them. It comes with Android Lollipop out of the box, but the company promises to upgrade it to Marshmallow within 3 months. The phone is dust proof and water resistant.
The main point to discuss in the new HTC Butterfly 3 is the camera. It has a 20.2 MP camera with a secondary sensor. The function of the secondary sensor is to calculate distance information. It will allow users to post-shot autofocus and apply some other creative effects. HTC calls this setup Duo Camera. The phone supports 4K video recording. There is a 13 MP front camera as well which also has a BSI sensor for excellent low light images. The front camera can shoot 1080 videos.
HTC Butterfly 3 will be available in Taiwan on October 20. Price will be around $600. There are no words on global availability yet.
