Samsung quietly unveiled a slim phone in the A Series lineup, Samsung Galaxy A8. This phone has flagship specs with a large 5.7 inch screen, fingerprint scanner and most of all, it’s astounding 5.9mm thickness. Galaxy A8 is truly set up to wow the mid range category. This phone ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and has all the latest TouchWiz UI elements. For those of you who have purchased this phone or are looking to buy one, you should definitely read this post about setting up the USB drivers. Like with any other Android phone, you require different USB drivers to be installed on your PC. Thankfully, Samsung’s all in one install will leave you supported for all Galaxy smartphones including the Galaxy A8. USB Drivers ensure that your PC correctly recognizes the device and acts accordingly. Also, USB drivers will help you in manually upgrading your phone. It is recommended that you follow this guide and install USB drivers first before connecting your Samsung Galaxy A8.

The download link present in our tutorial will guide you to a package which is universal to all Samsung phones including the new Galaxy A8.  Due to security issues, a phone cannot be simply connected to a PC and act as a USB. If you have a lock code, you would first have to bypass that on your phone, then connect it. The USB drivers on the PC end allow you to transfer files properly without any hassle. If you are looking for fastboot drivers, we have a link for that as well. You won’t have to install the full SDK just to get to the fastboot. We have an entire section full of Android USB Drivers, but we have that covered as well for you below on how to download and install the drivers.
