In May this year, Microsoft announced that Cortana, the personal voice assistant for Windows and Windows Phone, will be available forAndroid and iOS as well. Until today, the Cortana was in closed beta but today it is available for all Android users in Public Beta.
Cortana is currently available for Windows Phone and Windows 10. But now Android users can also use it. It is currently in beta, you should only install it if you are ready to try a beta software. The Android version of Cortana has almost every functionality the Windows and Windows Phone version has. You can set and get reminders, search the web, set tasks across all your devices and track important information like finding a restaurant in a specific area.
Cortana for Android misses some functionalities and they are only available on Windows for now, like toggling settings, opening apps or invoking Cortana hands-free by saying “Hey Cortana”.
You can download the Cortana for Android here. You will have to become a beta tester first.
