OnePlus revealed another piece of information about the OnePlus 2. Earlier today, OnePlus announced that the upcoming flagship phone will have a ‘refined and lightning quick’ fingerprint sensor — and they even claimed it to be better than Apple’s Touch ID, which is pretty good. So it’d be great to see what OnePlus has in store for us with the new OnePlus 2 set to launch next month on 27th July.
Previously, OnePlus announced that the device would be having a USB type-C and a new Snapdragon 810 processor, along with the announcement date of the new phone. We will see OnePlus unveil more specs till the end of next month.
According to OnePlus:
With the OnePlus 2, the fingerprint sensor is done right. It’s refined and lightning quick, unlocking your device faster than TouchID. The average person checks their phone over 200 times per day. If you spend just three seconds inputting a PIN number or pattern, that’s over an hour of your time gone each week.
On the OnePlus 2, one quick tap takes you right to your homescreen. With the ability to store up to five fingerprint profiles, it’s fast, it’s safe, and it’s secure. Your smartphone is your most personal device, and its security should be personal, too.
The latest Android M promised to bring native fingerprint support to devices, hence it is pretty safe to say OnePlus 2 would be running the latest Android on it. After all, its a no compromise device, isn’t it?
