AT&T has now started rolling out Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware to the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T707A. Internationally, the Lollipop firmware was made available quite early. AT&T adopted the process a little bit late and they also prioritized the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Lollipop release first resulting in a longer delay. Now that they have started pushing Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, you will be able to get it straight on your device via OTA (Over-the-air) system or Samsung KIES. It is great to see that this update has been rigorously tested and is almost free of any initial software glitches.
The build number is UCU1BOE4 so look out for this when searching for the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update. As this is a major update, it is worth 1147MB. This means you would need a good WiFi connection along with around 1.5GB of free space on your device. The software update comes with Material Design, revamped TouchWiz, performance improvements and much more for you to find out.
You can download the firmware update through built-in OTA (Over-the-air) update system or use Samsung KIES desktop client. As soon as the firmware gets uploaded, we will also publish a manual method of updating your Galaxy Tab S 8.4 T707A.
