The Chinese manufacturers – Oppo – just wont stop trying to take control over the smartphone market in the southern Asian region, and hence the remunerative smartphone marker of China gets an addition of a little something from Oppo: the Oppo Neo 5 (2o15) and the Oppo Neo 5s. Both of the smartphones are low-mid ranged phones with low or medium specs.
Let’s now quickly dive into both of the new releases which are almost identical. Discussing the differences first, the Oppo Neo 5 (2015) comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor with an MT6582 SoC while the Neo 5s comes along a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 306 GPU. The main difference is that the Neo 5s, variant of Neo, is specifically targeted to the local data providers of China, hence coming with a regionally dependent LTE bands support.
Looking towards the similarities between the two smartphones, both comes with a GB of RAM (which is pretty less), both are integrated with the same camera facilities which is 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front camera. Both have not so impressive screen of 4.5-inch IPS display with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution.
Why to buy this phone? Well, the larger piece of the pie would go to its fascinating and spectacular design, the Oppo’s trademark design – double-layer metallic structure – which gives a decent finish to the phone with premium feels. Other than that, if you’re looking for a graceful phone with not so much pressure on your wallet, and also want decent specs, you should definitely have a look at these two siblings, I’m sure they’re far from disappointing you.
