OnePlus One has finally received the long awaited Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM12S update from Cyanogen. One of the many selling points of this phone was the fact that it came with CyanogenMod pre-installed. At the time of release, Cyanogen equipped it with CM11S which was a custom version of the existing CM11 modified to suit this amazing phone.
And now, CM12S / Cyanogen OS 12 has arrived which also builds on CM12 but with added features. CM12 nightly builds have been around for a while now but there is nothing like a stable release from CyanogenMod like the CM12S.
Obvious upgrades with the CM12S include the new Android framework, Material Design and more added tweaks packed in by Cyanogen. Developers have been hard at work to make this build flawless and certainly, they took their time. We hope this release brings a much more enjoyable experience than the nighly versions. Gestures and such which were gone in OxygenOS made by OnePlus, will remain in CM12S Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. You can still access the CM themes and all that comes with the CM experience.
Moreover, in a separate post, we have covered the whole process through which anyone can upgrade their OnePlus One to CM12S Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. For more details, click here.
