After getting released on the new Android One devices, Android 5.1 Lollipop LMY47D factory image is now available for download. Google wouldn’t want Apple to steal all the limelight today with their new Apple Watch event, so this is how they treat all the Android lovers around. The new Android 5.1 Lollipop can now be downloaded for the nexus family of devices by Google: Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2012) and Nexus 10. Factory images can now be downloaded from the Google Developers website and we also have complete how-to guides on installing them on your phone. The OTA (over-the-air) update has also started rolling out for everyone, but as usual, that could take days till it reaches your phone. Android 5.1 LMY47D is now official available for download from Google — and an over-the-air update is also on its way for those who do not want to risk flashing this firmware image manually. These factory images are stock Android 5.1 (build LMY47D) with no modifications or customizations, whatsoever.     • Best guess that I can come up with is that Google agreed to not release it until VZW releases to the Nexus 6 on the 12th. hmm.. yep. A good bet.
