Samsung Galaxy A3 vs Galaxy A5 vs Galaxy A7

Besides its flagships lineup, Samsung is now launching another comparatively lower-end line of Android phones with yet amazing specifications. This line is named ‘The A Series’. For now, it is said to have three products lined up to be released in Europe and a few other countries: Samsung Galaxy A3, Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A7. The first two have already been officially announced by Samsung, but the Galaxy A7 is yet to be unveiled. Let’s take a look what the specifications has to say about this new Samsung A series of devices.

Just after the jump, you can see a comparison of technical specifications of the new Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7. There is only a bit of difference between the three devices, but even that could be a lot for some of us. Samsung Galaxy A7 seems to be the high-end one in this series and we are eagerly waiting for Samsung to announce it.

Now let’s take a lot how these new Android devices stack against each other:

Samsung Galaxy A3

First of, Samsung Galaxy A3. A mid-ranged phone that contains all the basic necessities for normal everyday use. First and the for most thing to look at is it’s hardware, CPU and chip-set to be precise. It comes with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 which is fairly good for average use and a Snapdragon 410 chip-set along with 1.5GB of RAM which is also not bad. Besides that, it has both 3G and 4G LTE support which is we think a very good addition as for today slow data connection is worst then no data connection. The Samsung Galaxy A3 out of the box comes with a fairly good camera, which is 8 megapixels and includes a 5 megapixels front camera too. It has an average sized screen which is 4.5 inches and a 540 x 960 display which is no so good for today’s trend. but with Samsung’s specialty Super AMOLED screen it leaves us with a better impression of it. Samsung Galaxy A3 expected to be released later this year.

Samsung Galaxy A5

Now we have the Samsung Galaxy A5. It can be said that it’s a better version of the Galaxy A3 with some of the key improvements. One of the major improvements is the better camera, Samsung Galaxy A5 has a 13 megapixels camera, which unlike A3, can also record videos in full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second. Screen size was also increased as the coefficient of the device name says, it has a 5 inch display, with a super AMOLED to assist it. Even thou the screen is comparatively larger, Galaxy A5 provides you with a better pixels density on a 5 inch screen. RAM was also increased a bit in this release which is now 2GB. Other than that, rest is pretty much the same including the CPU, GPU and the chip-set which are identical in both Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A5.

Samsung Galaxy A7

Which leaves us for the last device to be compared in this post, the Samsung Galaxy A7. This is the yet the best phone in the new A series. So lets talk about the what makes this device the better than the other devices in the series. First of all, as you can see above in the specs sheet, this phone comes with Octa-core power that is Quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 which makes it a very interesting phone to look at — performance wise. If rumours are to be believed, this phone is expected to be coming out with only 2GB of RAM, which is exactly the same as the Galaxy A5 and not to forget Galaxy A5 is a quad-core device. Slight downgrade in camera is also rumored, as it is said to be about 12 megapixels with 4608 x 2592 pixels and same 1080p video recording. Other than that, it is also rumored that this might be the slimmest phone Samsung has ever manufactured; it is said to be 6.3mm thick. And the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display combined with 401 PPI would just make it amazing.

Bottom Line:

In our opinion, all three devices would surely be better reviewed once released and a better analysis would be given, but for now, this pretty much sums it all up. All three devices are expected to be released in the first month of next year and a detailed review would be given once we get our hands on.
