Android 4.2.2 JDQ39 OTA software update is now rolling out for all the Nexus devices, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus I9250. We don’t have the changelog yet, but it is believed that this update will carry the promised Bluetooth bug that started with the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean update. This new Android 4.2.2 software update is more a fix for the issues. Android 4.2.2 JDQ39 for Nexus devices can be installed directly over-the-air (OTA). We will update as soon as the direct download links of the OTA are made available.
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean has the build number JDQ39 and is being currently rolled out to the all the Google Nexus users. We already know the various features / fixes that Android 4.2.2 will bring with itself, which is, no new features but only but fixes. And we will also update as soon as an official changelog hits the Internet. Android 4.2.2 for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be out soon!
Along with the Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 should be getting the Android 4.2.2 OTA software update very soon. Google Nexus S was killed by Google in the last update. The last official Android update to reach Nexus S was of Android 41.2, however, several custom ROMs allow you to install the new Jelly Bean update on this phone. In the previous major Android 4.2 release, Google apparently, forgot to add the month of December in the People app in Android. That was soon fixed with an update. Then there were issues with the Bluetooth, and the Camera rotation bug that was very annoying. Hopefully, this new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OTA update will bring a fix for that as well.
Go to Settings > About tablet > System updates > Check now. If the update is available for your Nexus device, you will be prompted to install the OTA update.
