Android 4.1.2 JZO54K Software Update is Now Available for Download

Google has just rolled out a new update to it’s Jelly Bean OS, Android 4.1.2. It is a minor update over the previous Android 4.1.1. This news came in when Jean-Baptiste Queru, the technical lead at Google’s AOSP (Android Open Source Project) announced the release of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean software update, starting from Nexus 7.

Android 4.1.2 has the build number JZO54K, while the AOSP tags are android-4.1.2_r1 and jb-mr0-release. According to the official update notification, Android 4.1.2 “improves performance and stability and fixes bugs.” Not much to go with, but we will soon find out all the changes in this latest release.

Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S (JZO54H) and Xoom are the pure Google devices that should be getting the Android 4.1.2 software update very soon. Tutorials of updating your devices to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will be posted shortly.
