How to Root LG Optimus L7 P700 on V10H / V10A Android 4.0 ICS Firmware

We have never covered much of LG Android phones and tablets, but starting today, we would do that as well. LG Optimus L7 P700 is one of the high-end Android phones by LG. It packs in great hardware and comes with Android 4.0.3 ICS. You can now root Optimus L7 P700 on Android 4.0.3 ICS (V10A firmware, recommended firmware is V10H).

As you continue reading below, we will guide you through the entire process of how to root Optimus L7 P700 on Android 4.0.3 ICS with complete steps. For those who do not know, rooting will allow you to install root apps, custom recovery and install system tweaks. Backup your apps and personal data as given below. All the downloads and instructions have been given in the tutorial.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the LG Optimus L7 to connect it with the computer. Download LG Optimus L7 USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

1. You need to enable USB debugging mode. This helps to connect your Android phone with the PC. See here: How to Enable USB Debugging.

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.

4. Your phone should be factory unlocked. Additional instructions for locked Android devices will be added in the tutorial for unlocking devices.
