For places where it has been launched, the first few Android 4.0 official firmware builds have started floating online. For now, we have an official ICS Android 4.0 firmware for download. You can easily install Android 4.0.3 XWALE2 on Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) P5100 using the tutorial given below.
This latest P5100XWALE2 was released by Samsung over KIES for Singapore. The modem build is OLBALE1 and the firmware build date is 16th May 2012. Since this firmware is unbranded, you can easily install it on an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) to connect it with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.
