UPDATE (February 2020): You can download the latest Huawei MediaPad ADB drivers form this page. Over the years, Huawei has launched several Android tablets with different Android versions. All of these MediaPad models now support HiSuite to manage your photos, audio and video files from a computer.
Huawei recently launched a 1.2 GHz dual-core Android tablet, Huawei MediaPad. It features a dual-core processor, 7-inch display, 5 megapixels camera, Android 3.2 etc. The tablet comes ready to use out-of-the-box, but if you are one of those who like to tweak the devices their own way, you might find this useful.
The ADB drivers that come with the Huawei MediaPad don’t install directly itself when you connect the tablet to your computer with a micro USB. It took me a while to realize that the MediaPad comes with Hi Suite, Huawei’s own Android PC Suite to manage devices.
Here is a list of all the supported Huawei MediaPad tablets that support the following USB and ADB drivers:
- HUAWEI MediaPad T3 7.0 – Huawei BG2-U01 / BG2-U03
- HUAWEI MediaPad T3 10.1 (AGS-L09 / AGS-L03)
- Huawei MediaPad T1 7.0 (701U)
Huawei MediaPad ADB Drivers
In order for your computer to install ADB drivers for your Huawei MediaPad, you will have to first install the PC Suite that comes with it – or download it from the link given below. I made an ISO of the entire Hi Suite setup.
Huawei MediaPad doesn’t seem to support mass memory mode, or it might be just me who couldn’t find it. The built-in MTP mode works fine to quickly transfer your photos and videos and drivers are also installed by itself.
If you only want to connect your tablet to the PC, you can also download the latest Huawei USB drivers.
