The Next Google Search for Android App Released, Accidentally!

Google Mobile Blog accidentally published – and then removed – a post about the next version of their Search app for Android. They are bringing a host of new features to improve the search experience directly from your Android phone.

Google Search for Android - New Updated Android App

It is not as if Google accidentally released the actual Google Search for Android app, but atleast we now know what features the new app will have and I can’t wait to try it out on my own phone!

TechCrunch reports that from the screenshots in the blog post, the Search app has gone a complete makeover making the app a lot more faster and smoother with a much better UI.

Features include:

  • Suggestions grouped by type, with web suggestions at the top.
  • Country-specific suggestions and search results for all countries with Google domains.
  • Long press to remove history items.
  • Faster, smoother performance, with an updated and simplified user interface.

Now I can’t wait for the app to release in the Android Market. For some reason, I still haven’t got the new Android Market update on my Google Nexus S.
