Recovery mode on the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 can be accessed by the usual method of the button combination. Why access Recovery Mode? It allows you to factory reset your phone, install OTA updates manually or when loaded a custom recovery (like ClockworkMod or TWRP), you have endless possibilities that can do with your phone including a Nandroid backup/restore, installing custom ROMs, rooting Galaxy Grand Duos etc. You can get into the recovery mode on Galaxy Grand I9082 using the simple steps we have given below.

How to Enter Recovery Mode on Galaxy Grand I9082

Here is a quick and short tutorial on how to access the Recovery Mode on your Galaxy Grand Duos I9082. Follow the steps carefully given below.

NOTE: We have not been able to figure out the key combination to enter Recovery Mode in Galaxy Grand. So, we will be using the ADB method for Recovery Mode as we have written in a tutorial once before.

Method 1: Using ADB on Windows to Enter Recovery Mode

Step 1: Make sure USB drivers / ADB drivers for Galaxy Grand have been installed and ADB is configured on your computer.

Step 2 - Connect your Galaxy Grand Duos to your PC with a USB cable and install ADB drivers (if needed).

Step 3 - Navigate to android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory and open Command Prompt (Shift + Right-click anywhere in the folder > Open Command Prompt).

Step 4 - Type in the following command and press Enter.

adb reboot recovery

Step 5 - Your Galaxy Grand will turn OFF and then boot into the Recovery Mode. Navigate up and down using the volume keys.

Method 2: Using ADB on Mac OS X to Enter Recovery Mode

Step 1: Make sure USB drivers / ADB drivers for Galaxy Grand have been installed and ADB is configured on your computer.

Step 2 - Connect your Galaxy Grand Duos to your Mac with a USB cable.

Step 3 - Now open Terminal app on your Mac and enter the following command and press Enter:

/<PATH>/android-sdk-macosx/platform-tools/adb reboot recovery

NOTE: <path> should be the location where your Android SDK is stored.

Step 4 - Your Galaxy Grand will turn OFF and then boot into the Recovery Mode. Navigate up and down using the volume keys.
