Update Galaxy S2 I9100 to XWLPW Android 4.0.4 ICS Official Firmware

Indian users of the Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 have received a new official firmware update – XWLPW Android 4.0.4 ICS. It has been rolled out on Samsung KIES as always, but for those who can’t find it there or are not able to update via KIES for some reason, can install this official software update manually using the tutorial below. This is an official firmware update by Samsung, not a custom ROM. You can easily install XWLPW Android 4.0.4 ICS on Galaxy S2 I9100 using the tutorial given below.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S II to connect it with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy S2 USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.
