Root Sony Xperia S LT26i on Android 4.0.4 ICS Official Firmware

The method to root Sony Xperia S LT26i is not at all difficult. In fact, it can be said the same for a handful of Sony devices because of the awesome work by Bina4ry, a member at XDA-Developers. You will be able to easily root Xperia S LT26i on Android 4.0.4 ICS official firmware with this one-click root method.

In this tutorial, we will tell you how to root Xperia S LT26i on Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware with all the required files you will need. Make sure you backup all your data as given in the tips below, because you never know when something might go wrong. This rooting method works on Sony devices with both, locked and locked bootloaders. Let’s get on with the tutorial now.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Sony Ericsson Xperia S to connect it with the computer. Download Sony Ericsson Xperia S USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

1. You need to enable USB debugging mode. This helps to connect your Android phone with the PC. See here: How to Enable USB Debugging.

2. Your phone battery should be 80-85% charged. If your phone goes off suddenly because of battery, during flashing ROMs or installing mods and updates — your phone might go dead permanently. See here: How to Check Battery Percentage.

    Well everything fine just it say’s when i start let’s say Antutu overcloack it ask’s me woud i allow and i say yes then it say’s Super SU stopped working but the rooted program work’s fine… and my H internet works fine Good job on tutorial great :)

    I press restore to the rootme restore file it says its done restoring but the cmd instructions just say “Running…” and dnt change (sony Experia s)

    Special Mode CAN wipe your data, Rollback SHOULD restore, but to be sure backup you data somehow!

    Xperia T Firmware .195 is not rootable sorry!
    This is same for other Sony devices with new Firmware like .2.55

    Sony fixed the bug in current firmwares and so we have no chance with this particular method!”
