Update Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110 WiFi to XXBLH4 Android 4.0.4 Official Firmware

We have already written before how to install XXBLH4 Android 4.0.4 OTA firmware which was released almost a week ago. And now, we have the complete firmware as well to flash on your tablet using ODIN. This latest firmware for the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) P5110 is now available on Samsung KIES for a number of countries. The modem build is OXXBLH3 and the firmware build date is 28th August 2012.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) to connect it with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

1. You need to enable USB debugging mode. This helps to connect your Android phone with the PC. See here: How to Enable USB Debugging.

2. Your phone battery should be 80-85% charged. If your phone goes off suddenly because of battery, during flashing ROMs or installing mods and updates — your phone might go dead permanently. See here: How to Check Battery Percentage.

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.

4. Your phone should be factory unlocked. Additional instructions for locked Android devices will be added in the tutorial for unlocking devices.

    If I extract the ZIP file, I only get a MD5 file and a DLL???

      from what I understand, the tutorial says that can not exist other files, then you just open the file. tar.md5 by PDA and ignore the other topics of step 7, keep attention on topic 8

    That is, just “open” the file in P5110XXBLH4_P5110OXXBLH3_HOME.tar.md5 PDA and follow the steps.
    skip steps:
    * Click on ‘Phone’ ….
    * Click on ‘CSC’ …
    * Click on ‘PIT’ ….
    carefully read the item 8!
    I upgraded my tablet doing so, the update is successful, no problem!

      Correcting, “open” the file P5110XXBLH4_P5110OXXBLH3_HOME.tar.md5 on “PDA”
      there was no need of other files.
      applied after installation: Wipe data factory reset and Wipe cache and reboot sistem to remove old files.
      after installation accessed the Recovery mode and applied: Wipe data factory reset and Wipe cache and reboot sistem to remove old files
