How to Update Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to XXBLG8 Android 4.0.4 ICS Official Firmware

Samsung Galaxy S3 should be receiving the official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update next month, but before that there are still many stock official firmwares coming out for Android 4.0.4 ICS. This latest I9300XXBLG8 was released by Samsung over KIES for Germany (Carrier: E-Plus). The modem build is EPLBLG3 and the firmware build date is 1st August 2012.

You can also install stock XXBLG8 Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware after using a custom ROM and now you can unroot Galaxy S3 I9300 and do a fresh installation of the phone using this tutorial.

As you continue reading below, we will guide you through the entire process of how to install the official software update XXBLG8 Android 4.0.4 ICS on Galaxy S3 I9300 using ODIN. Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S III to connect it with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy S3 USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.
