3. Backup all your important data that you might need as soon as your flash a new ROM, or make a backup for just in case, you never know when anything might go wrong. See below on how to backup data:

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.

4. Your phone should be factory unlocked. Additional instructions for locked Android devices will be added in the tutorial for unlocking devices.

    Hi There,

I can’t find any file with the extensions mentioned in the guide.?

    Greetings Thijs

I can unzip the zip file, but then i get a tar.md5 file. This file i cannot extract with winrar 7 zip, they all give an error. I downloaded several different roms, same story every time. Please tell me how i can extract the files from this so called tar file. Anyway i flashed my phone because of a software block. It works, but it’s a branded rom, and i would like the original rom. So i flashed before. But the official roms i just can’t get the files i need.
Thank you in advance for your time

Ok the thing is, the file needs to be in the pda section, and the rest should remain empty. I found it in another tutorial. In the end odin says fail, but it worked anyway :-)
