How to Root XXLE2 Android 2.3.6 on Galaxy S Advance I9070 Official Firmware Update

Android 2.3.6 XXLE2 is one of the latest official firmwares by Samsung for Galaxy S Advance I9070. This firmware also brings some of the Value Pack features that are available for the Galaxy S Advance. You can root XXLE2 as well now. Proceed below for the tutorial.

As you read further, we will guide you through the entire process of how to root Galaxy S Advance I9070 on Android 2.3.6 XXLE2 Gingerbread official firmware using ODIN. This tutorial will not wipe anything on your phone, but it is always better to backup your data as a precautionary measure. Let’s proceed with the tutorial now.

Make sure you have installed all your USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance to connect it with the computer. Download Samsung Galaxy S Advance USB drivers! Apart from just the USB drivers, there are a few more things that you need to take care of.

Data can also be backed up using Samsung KIES for their devices, but if you backup data manually, you get more options what top choose from and it is very easy to move data across Android devices from different manufacturers, i.e moving Samsung Galaxy Note backup data to HTC One X.

    Click on ‘PDA’ and select XXLE2.tar.md5 file, ok. Click on ‘PIT’ and select GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G_20111220_KL6.pit file. ok . but what about rootkernel.tar.md5

    Fail… i verify with root checker, sorry! this device does not have proper root access. How to solve this?

    They got it all wrong in the PDA is the root file not the “XXLE2.tar.md5 file.”.

    i got a failed message in odin and then when i try to boot my phone it shows a white screen and stops there.And i’m able to enter into download mode only.
    Can anyone help me to fix this problem pls….
